NEWARK, NJ. December 21, 1916 - Rumors of a deal between Warley Kephart and Newark finally bore fruit yesterday as the two sides faced a packed press corps. Peppers officials looked very pleased as they outlined the terms of the new deal.
Kephart will earn $72,980 per year for 2 years, and is expected to make a solid addition to his new club.
Over his career Kephart has batted .273 and collected 437 hits, 9 home runs and 207 RBIs.
