BROOKLYN, NY. July 7, 1914 - Brooklyn first baseman Zachariah Person had a field day today at Washington Park, battering Baltimore pitching for the cycle. He sparked the Tip-Tops to a 12-11 triumph over the Terrapins by going 5-5 with 2 runs batted in and scoring 3 runs.
Person singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, tripled in the 5th, doubled in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off P. Morey in the 8th.
This year Person is batting .285 with 2 home runs. He has scored 33 runs and driven in 37.
